Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
AlphaBaseline republishes public information from SEC EDGAR. We collect as little personal data as we reasonably can. This policy explains what we store, why, and what control you have over it.
In short
- You can read the whole site without an account. The holdings data comes from public SEC filings, not from you.
- Ads and anonymous analytics pay for it. Both use cookies. We don’t profile you, and we never sell your data.
- An account is optional — only needed for email alerts. It stores your email, your alert preferences, and a password hash we cannot reverse.
- In Europe, nothing is set until you agree. A consent banner asks first, and you can change your answer whenever you like.
- You can get your data back or delete it from your account pages at any time.
A summary for orientation only — the sections below are the actual policy.

What we store
How consent works
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland we use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) together with Google Consent Mode. On your first visit the CMP asks whether you consent to analytics and advertising, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you agree. Outside those regions, where opt-in consent is not legally required, analytics and advertising run by default. You can change your choice at any time via “Privacy & cookie settings” in the footer.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated, IP-anonymized usage statistics (page views, general location, device type). We do not use it for cross-site advertising. Where consent is required, Analytics only stores data after you accept it via the CMP.
Advertising
Third-party advertising cookies may be set to fund the site. See Advertising and third-party vendors below. Where consent is required, advertising cookies are only set after you accept them via the CMP.
Alert accounts (optional)
If you sign up for manager or stock email alerts, we store your email address, a password hash (we never store your password), your alert preferences and followed managers, email confirmation state, and a recent email delivery log. Legal basis: performance of the service you signed up for. Retained until you delete your account, plus up to 30 days in backups.
Advertising and third-party vendors
AlphaBaseline is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads on this site. The following disclosures are required of all AdSense publishers:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising via aboutads.info or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, no advertising cookies are set unless you consent through our Google-certified consent management platform. If you decline, ads may still be shown, but they will be non-personalized. Non-personalized ads still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention.
What we don't do
- We don’t profile visitors.
- We don’t sell or share usage data with third parties beyond the providers described in this policy.
- We don’t sell account email addresses or use them for third-party marketing.
- We don’t store your password in a recoverable form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
Most of these you can exercise yourself from your account pages (export, delete, unsubscribe). For anything else, email contact@alphabaseline.com. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Denmark, this is the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet): datatilsynet.dk.
Children
AlphaBaseline is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changing your choices
Use the “Privacy & cookie settings” link in the footer to re-open the consent choices at any time. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland this re-opens the consent management platform so you can change or withdraw consent. You can also manage or opt out of personalized advertising directly through Google Ads Settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
